My Writing Coach Profile!
Hey Everybody! I have attached a brief collage of myself filled with things that make me happy!
Writing has always been super interesting to me! I have always been geared toward more academic writing (for some reason I heavily enjoyed dissecting history within history papers in High School). Since continuing my education at UWM, works of literary analysis have been of utmost interest! I love analyzing poems, fictional works, and even lyrics to songs! (specifically Boygenius or any song done by one of the band members) In my household, I am the go-to proofreader of papers and have quite a good time interacting with my friends through the realm of their papers! (I am very excited to connect with you through yours) I find that when I am writing or working on projects via a multi-modal resource, My creative juices flow. Specifically, I have gotten to work on papers in the more casual journalistic style and really enjoy connecting my thoughts with inserted videos, links, or photos! When I get to add a bit of personality into my work, I am a lot more motivated to produce the best work that I can!
I am hoping to be able to learn more about many student's personalities through text in the future and get them equated with feeling comfortable online behind a screen! I think becoming a powerful writer is so important and if you let yourself have fun with it, there's no saying where you can take that important skill!

Listening to True Blue I hurt my own feelings so many times this summer...Boygenius is too good.
ReplyDeleteWitt is lit!! I really enjoyed this introduction about your literary journey! I love that you found joy in academic writing, I know for me it took myself a while to adapt to it and enjoy it. Also, it's great you have had that experience working with writers and helping them to improve their writing! Those skills will most def be handy in your future classroom!
ReplyDeleteI find it funny that you have a picture of Culver's in your collage. Unfortunately, I am not a fan because I worked there for my first job. Culver's is such a big thing in Wisconsin and so many people like going there so I suck it up and get some fries sometimes lol. I wish I like it more since everyone hangs out there. I find it interesting that location can play such a big role in identity. My boyfriend lives in Illinois and Culver's is not nearly as loved there as it is in Wisconsin!
ReplyDeleteHallie, I agree about the Culver's fascination here in WI. I moved here from WI and it took me a while to adjust to the deep love for the butter burger. I do have to admit that their fries are amazing. :P
